Tips for Great Last Minute Economy Travel
Saving money would probably be your biggest obligation when you start traveling, but when you have to harass a few people, pull a few strings, and do everything at the last minute, can you still expect to have some money left over at the end of the day? Economy travel would be great if you know how to get it, and even at the last minute. If you are anticipating that you will be going through a lot of last minute travel, then you may want to take note of these tips.
- Always have a great travel agent from a travel agency that knows how to handle travel mishaps. This includes last minute travel arrangements, which can drive even the best travel agencies crazy. You need to have a reliable travel agent who can be on call and efficient, so that no matter how late your last minute is, you can still get the trip that you want and not be worried that you will end up somewhere on the other side of the planet without your luggage.
- Always have info on hand about economy travel discounts. On your off times, ask about these discount travel packages, because when you do need them, they may be useful. Ask about the rates and how they change when you start doing last minute travel. Ask how far you can stretch your last minute or, how last minute can last minute be? Ask about special discounts or packages that you may be able to avail of if you have last minute travel arrangements.
- Keep your passport in a safe place and know where it is. Many travel agencies require a passport when they start booking flights and hotels, and when you do get to the hotel that you have been booked with, you will be asked for your passport. You can get your discounted packages only if you are able to present your passport, so make sure that your passport is with you at all times.
- Ask your family and friends for tips on last minute travel. There may actually be ways for you to save if you know where to look, but sometimes, two or more heads are better than one. You may actually get a lot of good tips from your friends. Ask about their travel arrangements on their last minute travel spree.
Who did they talk to, what agency did they ask about travel, and what airline did they use? Where did they go? What did they like the most about the trip? What was the worst thing that happened? Would they be able to recommend you to anybody working in the airline or travel industry? Ask your friends ahead of time, so that when the last minute travel arrangements suddenly pop up, you will not be ill prepared.
- Look for discount packages that are a little more flexible, such as those that give you time to look around cities, walk around, take hikes, and shop on your own. Some economy packages might be stringent and tour guides will harass you by taking you from place to place, giving you very little time to appreciate your destination on your own.
These are only a few tips that you may want to use when you are considering last minute travel and going economy. Remember, always talk to your travel agent, and do not be afraid to do your research.
The more thorough your research, the better prepared you will be no matter when in the year you choose to travel.

Going to the City’s Awesome Sights
For most people, being on a foreign land may be a risky or frightening experience. But it must not be the same thing in your case. Finding your way around the city can’t be that threatening. There are various public and private transportations that may be taken at anytime. Moreover, maps are widely sold in the travel shops and they are offered for very affordable prices.
Here are the transportation options that you may consider as you go to the various tourist destinations all over Paris.
The cabs. These public transportation can be hailed at any time. Usually, the hotel assistants will call the cab drivers for you. There are three kinds of tariffs as imposed by the taxi operators. Class “A” is the cheapest of all, class “B” is quite expensive, and class ”C” is the most pricey. The minimum rate charged by a taxi is around 5.10 Euros so you better watch out for those who may take advantage of tourists like you.
The buses. Bus stations can easily be tracked down. A comprehensive list of the bus stops is commonly displayed in the stations along with the routes followed and the departure time as well. The bus station services are available from Monday up to Saturday although some operators work even on Sundays and the holidays. You don’t have to worry about travelling at night since the service is mostly extended up to midnight.
The metro and the RER. The metro has 14 lines all in all. These lines are all color coded for the passengers’ proper guidance. On the other hand, the Reseau Express Regional or RER consists of 5 lines. They are named as lines A, B, C, D, and E and are open for services from 5:00 am up to 1:10 am. If you want to travel for a shorter time and get rid of the traffic, you better take the RER.
Private cars. They are the ones which may be hired so that you will no longer suffer from stress as a result of transferring from one transportation to another. It is either you hire a driver or drive the car by yourself. The main requirement though is that you should be at least between 21 up to 25 years of age and with a national driving license too.
Why miss the chance of getting to Paris for a luxury European vacation? Touring the city is generally convenient with the number of transportation options. Nonetheless, a Parisian adventure is nonetheless one remarkable memory to dwell into!
Where Business is a Pleasure
When you think of heading out to do some serious sightseeing in America, we often associate that with vacation times. And to be sure, those times are especially fun because you can be with family and friends and take in the heart stopping sights that are so unique to our great country.
But for many of us, traveling on business can be as much a part of our travel life as family vacation time is. Of course, on a business trip you have to be focused on the purpose of the business trip itself. But if your business takes you to some of the truly great parts of our country, its allowable for you to use that time you are serving your business well to enjoy the glory that God has put around us all over this great land.
Airplanes can provide some of the most spectacular ways to take in sights from the vantage point of the air. If you are flying over one of the spectacular mountain ranges of this country, you can gaze down and daydream about the pioneers who crossed those mountains to explore the country and spread its scope from coast to coast. If your imagination is active that day, you may speculate on where those roads down there lead and on how it would be to live in one of those remote towns you see scattered in the majestic but rustic mountain locations.
But the mountains are not the only sights of this country that can take your breath away when you fly over head. The sights of Mount Rushmore, the Statue of Liberty, of the shoreline of Chicago, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Atlantic Ocean off of Cape Cod, to name just a few, are even more stunning when seen from the air. You wont be able to see such things on every flight, but when they become visible, dont forget to close the laptop for a minute and take in these rare treats when they present themselves.
But the opportunities to catch a moment to take in a great sightseeing treat while on a business trip do not end when the plane lands. Many times conferences and big meetings are scheduled in some of the great cities of our country. So dont just hang around the hotel after the job is done. If you dont have business activities in the evening a cab ride through the city hitting the big attractions can be most enjoyable. Many cities have sights worth seeing that you never have to get out of your vehicle to enjoy. But taking some time to get out and walk in a memorial park, go to the best museum in town or take in the atmosphere in one of the ethnic neighborhoods can take a routine business trip and make it truly memorable.
You might also consider extending your stay in a particularly interesting part of the city or state you are going to go on business to give yourself the chance to get out and really jump into the local color or to give a great attraction or sight the time it deserves to really enjoy it. If you can afford to give yourself a whole Saturday just for sightseeing, you will come home from that business trip with an enhanced sense of accomplishment because you not only accomplished the goals of the trip, you enriched your life seeing one of the great and maybe spectacular sights that makes our country so unique.
